What is stress and how to manage it?


1 feeling - worry headache
2 hypothalamus sets off an alarm system with nerves and hormonal glands
3 inform adrenal glands(located at top of kidneys) to release adrenaline and cortisol
4 adrenaline increases heart rate BP n boost energy supplies
5 cortisol increases sugars glucose

this stress response helps us perform better under pressure


1 sleep
2 get musical
3 laugh
4 ask for help
5 try relaxation
6 exercise to release endorphins
7 be pro activite
8 thus avoid diabetes n heart problems
